The settings for The Secret Garden were very impressive, but where can we go and see them?
4. The real Misselthwaite Manor
Allerton Castle in Yorkshire was used for the exterior shots of the castle, and some of the interior.

However, if you go there wanting to see the secret garden then you may be disappointed…
5. Not a real garden
Despite what we were all led to believe, The Secret Garden was not in fact a real-life garden!

Because it would be too complicated to shoot in a real garden with changing seasons etc, they built one from scratch. Is nothing real anymore?!
6. Where was the staircase?
The staircase was not filmed in a big house as you may have thought. It was in fact filmed at the hotel in St Pancras station!
