According to the Broadcasters’ Audience Research Board, the first episode of the series attracted an impressive, 4 million viewers!
17. How MUCH?!
Many people believe that getting on television is a one way ticket to fame and fortune.

Unfortunately this certainly wasn’t the case for the stars of Educating Yorkshire. While many believe they raked in £100,000 across the series, it was later revealed their earnings were nowhere near that much!
18. Award Winner!
After reaching critical acclaim, the series won the best Documentary Programme at the National Television Awards. What an impressive feat!
