58. Mrs Ballard Is A Fan Of Mushy

Willows High School head teacher, Mrs Ballard, is a huge fan of Mushy from Educating Yorkshire – who isn’t?

In fact, the teacher admitted to having watched the clip of Mushy overcoming his stammer at least 50 times and she even showed it to her own pupils during assembly.

59. She Said No…

Despite being a huge fan of the show herself, when Mrs Ballard was approached by the production team and asked to appear on the show -she declined!

After leaving her to think it over, the production team returned a month later with the same offer. This time, she agreed!

60. A Life-changing Promotion

After the show ended, Mrs Ballard has left her role as headmistress at Willows High School. The position has instead been filled by math teacher (and former deputy head) Mr Norman!
