20. Viggo IS Aragorn
Before filming started, Viggo had never even held a sword. Despite this, the first scene he shot was the fight on Weathertop against the Nazgûl.

Viggo quickly picked up the routines and mastered the skill of sword fighting within just a few months.

Bob Anderson, the sword master working on the films, even said that Viggo was the best swordsman he’d ever encountered.
Viggo did an excellent job making himself look highly skilled
Furthermore, Viggo fished regularly between his takes, proving that he really possessed Aragorn’s survival skills.

He’s also a skilled linguist, able to speak seven different languages: Spanish, English, Danish, French, Italian, Norwegian and Swedish.
Aragorn also fell in love with the elf, Arwen
This meant that he more easily able to pick up his Elvish lines for the film, and asked that the scriptwriters give him more, as befit the character. Seriously – this guy was born to be Aragorn.
