18. Wedding requests.
When one is a member of the Royal family, one has the divine right to…well, pretty much anything.
Kate had a lot to do with the planning for her wedding…
So when Kate was a lady in waiting, she made sure her wedding was planned exactly how she wanted it, down to the very last detail.

At her request, maple trees were hauled to Westminister Abbey on the wedding day to make the place look more natural and seasonal.

The six trees and two hornbeams were 20ft tall (pretty bloomin’ huge) and arrived three days before the ceremony; the chosen florist, Shane Connolly, wanted to achieve the ‘wow’ factor – which he certainly did with the help of the bride herself.

The bride-to-be told him: “It has to be British.”
He said: “Catherine is a dream client…like few other brides I’ve ever met. She has an incredibly good eye.”
The trees were taken to the Abbey days before the wedding…
As a nod to her William, she carried the flower ‘sweet William’ in her bouquet. Her most ‘diva‘ moment was when she requested Jo Malone Orange Blossom candles to be burned in Westminister Abbey.
