Sadly, actor James Best passed away back in 2015 but he will never be forgotten as this character.
People still enjoyed watching him dress up as the bumbling sheriff of Hazzard County!
He never failed to make a great impression when he appeared in his uniform from the show.

You’ll also notice from the old clips of this show that we was often laughing at all of his own, evil plans to get the Duke Boys.
He was intent on making their life difficult!
However, without him, many of the car chase scenes would have never been initiated at all.

He was the one who was always trying to trap the Duke boys on the back roads during their escape.
We can see here how much his character is still adored!
We will never forget how much he added to this show by being its catalyst.
