When the Duke boys did manage to make it back to Hazzard County, things just weren’t the same.
They were gone for too long.
At the time, this may have caused the fans to lose interest. Or else, just move on.

It’s hard to keep up with a show after it has been changed up for two full years.
Therefore, it was hard for the fans to accept this.
Sure, it must have been a shock that fans were thrilled to have them back.

Unfortunately, it was the truth and due to budget cuts, the show tapered off on its own.
It just wasn’t the same again.
I guess, at some point, all good things just come to a complete and natural end.
