It’s been long disputted what caused Mike Evans to finally leave the show.

According to Jimmie Walker, Evans was fired by Norman Lear after he threatened to quit if he didn’t get a pay rise.

Yes another piece of adhoc material the producers managed to squeeze into the show. These made for great entertainment and a personal touch.
