If you’ve ever heard The Jeffersons’ theme song, then you may have noticed a booming voice belting out the lead vocals.
Theme tune…
That voice belongs to actress Ja’net Dubois, who played neighbour Willona Woods on Good Times.

Woods actually co-wrote the tune with legendary songwriter Jeff Barry (who wrote songs like “Be My Baby,” “Then He Kissed Me”).

Barry sang background vocals for the tune, while the additional vocals heard in the background…

…were performed by a staggering 35-member gospel choir. Now that is seriously impressive! We would have loved to witness it first hand.
