This is a Netflix original series that starts off right away with a child who is missing and his mother and friends are desperate to figure out what’s going on. This leads to a whole series of ‘Stranger Things’ that begin to happen in this small town that is set in the early 80s. Now, in a place where kids ride their bikes, carry HUGE walkie talkies and use rotary landlines,  they are able to discover that a dark “other world” has captured this kid and they are determined to bring him back! Of course, those who have watched all of the shows so far know that the kid makes it back but that doesn’t stop the ‘Stranger Things’ from continuing to happen! Therefore, this show has everything that is necessary to keep the audiences engaged. So, while we wait for the 3rd season, let’s find out some stuff about this show that you probably didn’t know anything about:

The creators are twin brothers.

Matt and Ross Duffer first worked together on a movie called ‘Hidden’ and also combined forces for M. Night Shyamalan’s ‘Wayward Pines’ and so they were ready to go when it came time to write the script for this series. Their premise was this: “What if Steven Spielberg directed a Stephen King book?”

The show was going to be called ‘Montauk’.

The setting was supposed to be a place in Long Island but the show’s creators quickly realized that it would be difficult to film there in the winter. So, they changed the location and the name of the show.
