On 23 July 2011, Winehouse passed away aged 27 years old. From the moment the world heard Amy Winehouse sing, everyone knew she’s be a star. Compared often to Janis Joplin, she sang beautiful melodies putting anyone who listened in a trance. Her album Back to Black posthumously became, for a time, the UK’s best-selling album of the 21st century.

Freddie Mercury

Freddie Mercury, lead singer for the band Queen, passed away aged 45 years old on 24 November 1991. He was known for his amazing vocal range and flamboyant stage persona. As a member of Queen, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001 is considered one of the greatest singers in the history of music.
Freddie once said, “You can be anything you want to be, just turn yourself into anything you think that you could ever be.”
