Bobby was always at home performing on stage.
He started his career as a songwriter for Connie Francis then recorded his first million-selling single, “Splish Splash”, in 1958.

He met his ex-wife and mother of his children, Sandra Dee, on the set of Come September in 1960 which he won a Golden Globe Award for in 1962.
In 1968, after the Kennedy assassination, he discovered he had been raised by his grandmother and that the girl he thought was his sister was actually his mother. These events deeply affected Darin and sent him into a long period of seclusion before making a successful comeback.
