Growing up was a magical time for most children. Those who were born in the 90s were lucky enough to grow up during this era and the early 00s! From Nintendogs to bear shaped ham, there were so many weird and wonderful things to come out of the 90s. Whilst playing with toy dogs and eating ham which looked like a bear’s head might seem pretty odd nowadays, at the time they were the best things ever!

Here are 15 things from our childhood that were SUPER cute! Enjoy!

1. Love 2 Love keyring

We all used to love this keyring’s when we were younger. You could find one of these in every single bag. The best thing about this toy was that the little heart shaped nose used to light up when you fed the bear! There was nothing quite as cute as this!

We loved these so much. If you had the whole set of colours you definitely felt like a super maternal! How many different colours did you have these in?

2. Furbys

This was the ultimate Christmas present that you could have been given when you were growing up. In the early 00s these furry little toys were every child’s must-have. Apparently, over 40 million Furbys were sold in the space of just 3 years. To be honest, this is not surprising. Every single person in school used to have one of these.

I swear we all thought that we could speak in Furbish ourselves and understand what our own Furby’s were saying. Remember when these eyelashes used to blink!

3. Beans from Even Stevens

This guy was one of our favourite characters from all of the television shows that we used to watch when we were younger. The young actor starred in Disney Channel’s Even Stevens for two years from 2001-2003 but it felt like we had known him forever!

He was such a weird guy, wasn’t he? But, we completely loved him! Wonder what he is doing now…

4. Billy Bear Ham

There was genuinely no better filling to have on your sandwich than Billy bear ham. There was something about the cute bear’s face that made this sandwich taste so much better than normal ham. Would you have a slice of this ham in your bread nowadays?

We loved our parents when they bought this in their weekly shop. Happy times. This ham looks a little bit gross now though, doesn’t it?

5. Dogz 4

This was a PC game that we were all completely obsessed with back in the day. It was the best day ever when you found out your digital dog was going to have puppies! Although the technology might look a bit old hat now, these dogs were super realistic back in the day. If your parents didn’t let you have a real puppy, this was the next best thing.

There wasn’t actually anything better than sitting for hours and playing on this game.  This game took up my whole life.

6. Rainbow Fairy Books

We all know that these books used to play a huge part of our childhood. There was nothing better than if they brought out a book with your name on it – still getting over the heartbreak of my name never having its own book. The fairy’s stories were still so exciting.

These made really cute birthday presents – needless to say, I got one every year! We loved these books so much.

7. Richard Fleeshman from Corrie

We can’t deny the fact that we all used to fancy this guy from Coronation Street. It is amazing to think that this young boy is now 28 – and still actually super hot! We are pleased to hear that he is still in the industry – performing on TV, Broadway and in the West End!

In Corrie, he went through the classic teenage emo and rebellion phase. But, we all loved it.

8. Sylvania Families

I remember being told that these were extremely special toys and that they had to be looked after.

Did this put anyone else off playing with them? Purely because we didn’t want to ruin them! I remember them being really heavy and seemed very expensive! Still, very cute though!

9. Star Doll

We used to spend HOURS playing on this! We used to pick our favourite celebrities and dress them up. Every girl thought that they were extremely stylish after successfully dressing up their celebrity doll. One rule every girl seemed to stick to – you must have at least one item of pink!

There was no better online game for girls back in the day!

10. Nintendogs

Every single one of us had a Nintendo DS when we were younger. Apart from Pictochat, we were completely obsessed with Nintendogs. This pet simulation game was the next best thing to owning a real dog. The puppies on this were just so so cute! It was so exciting trying to train them up and watching them grow.

It makes me feel sad thinking about all the abandoned Nintendogs over the years because none of us have played on it for so long! We hope there are kids who still play this game nowadays!

11. Making perfume with your siblings

This was cute purely because of the different memories that this brings back. We used to pick all the flowers in the garden to make the best smelling perfumes – much to the dismay of my mother!

We fell out with our siblings constantly, but deep down we LOVED making memories and spending time with them and there was nothing more special than this game!

12. Mr Frosty

Mr Frosty was one of the best Christmas presents that you could have been given when you were younger. You felt like the world’s best chef when you’d make something with this guy! All different kinds of flavoured ice and slush were prepared with the help of Mr Snowman! Despite the disappointing taste, it was super fun making the mixture!

We absolutely LOVED this guy, didn’t we? We would be obsessed with making flavoured crunchy ice.

13. Sea Monkeys

These were easily the most pointless things in the world. But, you would always get these as presents.

We used to try and take the best care of these ever no matter how much hassle it was.

14. Tamagotchis

We all know that Tamagotchis were the ULTIMATE things from the 90s and the 00s. At the time, they were the peak of technology! Everyone cared for their Tamagotchi so carefully to make sure it didn’t die!

There was nothing we loved more than these. But, they were a hassle to keep up with, weren’t they?!

15. Motorola Razr

This was the ultimate phone that we all used to beg for when we were younger. There was nothing cooler than flipping the phone up to answer a call.

Who remembers the good old days when we used to Bluetooth each other different songs? It took absolutely ages to send, but it was so worth it!

Do you remember all these toys? We spent hours playing with these and as weird as they look now, we loved them back in the day!
