This room also looks as though it has had children in it. The photographer revealed that in the early 2000s, part of the hospital was used as a daycare centre for young children, explaining the leftover toys but not accounting for its creepiness.

The wooden, old-fashioned furniture alludes to the many years which have passed since the hospital was used. Toys, highchairs and children’s paint handprints are all reminders of the fact that children were present in the scary hospital.
