1. Tupperware

There was nothing more irritating than not being able to find the different lids for our tupperware boxes back in the day. We used to have a ridiculous amount of these lying around the house and there was nothing our mum’s loved to collect more than these. You would have though we had enough with the amount they bought!

2. Paperweights

We all remember seeing these round the house all the time when we were younger. These were actually never used for their intended purpose – to hold down paper. Instead, these were used to help brighten up the place because of the lovely patterns you used to get inside them!

3. This blanket

I think every single house hold had this blanket back in the eighties. We all remember this from when we were growing up. Me and my brother used to always make a den in the lounge and use this as the sheet above our heads. This brings back so many memories from my childhood!

4. This address book

I remember when my dad first got this address book when I was younger. I was completely fascinated by it because I could never figure out how it actually worked. Whenever he needed a number he used to always let me go and get the address book and find it because I loved it so much. I have one of these address books now because I love them so much!

5. This alarm clock

I swear that this alarm clock managed to wake up the whole street. If you were ever worried about not getting up in the morning then this would be just what you needed to make sure you woke up. It wasn’t the most pleasant thing in the world to wake up to!

6. Old Spice

Every single father had an endless amount of the Old Spice range. There was nothing we loved more than the smell of this. If you never knew what to get your dad for Fathers Day or for his birthday, then this was always the go to present.

7. This on every window ledge

We all remember these from when we were younger. Why were we so obsessed with buying random little ornaments and displaying them across our whole house?

8. The Ladybird books!

We used to save up our pocket money so we could go and buy the next book that would come out. Which was your favourite?

9. This jewellery box

We all remember the days of having these little trinket boxes. Who remembers winding them up at the back and letting them play the music?

10. Rollers

Every single mum had a set of rollers. There was nothing we loved more than watching our mums put in their rollers, wishing one day that we would be able to do the same. They would never let us touch them though!

11. Victoria Plum bath set

Every single Christmas it was guaranteed that you would get given and least three of these Victoria Plum bath sets. This was the best because it meant that they would last for the whole year!

12. An endless amount of video tapes

Back in the day, instead of having Netflix or illegal streaming different films, we all had to watch our favourite videos on video tapes. There was nothing better than collecting a huge amount of video tapes, was there? Although, it was really annoying having to rewind them constantly!

13. This bedspread

We all remember having this bed spread when we were younger. There was nothing that brightened up a room quite like this, was there? We all remember that this looks exactly like our childhood!

14. Swimming badges

One thing that we were all ridiculously proud of was the swimming badges that we used to collect back in the day. We were so invested in getting the next badge that it was our favourite thing to do in the week. Swimming lessons were on the same night every week and we were absolutely ecstatic when we managed to get the next badge!

15. This phone

Who remembers the days of this being your house phone? There was nothing longer than trying to dial a number on this, was there? Can you believe how far we have come since the 80s with our technology?!
