We all remember watching this show when we were younger. I think we can all agree that the place she moved to was picturesque and we all secretly wanted to live there too! She got sent to live with her Grandfather in the mountains, she quickly discovers that it is such a magical place until it all gets taken away from her.
This series first came out way back in 1978.
Katia, the Austrian star, was only 11 years old when she began to star as the main character in this series. This programme is the one she is most famously known for.
But, what does the child star look like now? HEIDI NOW:
And what has she been up to all these years since the programme hit our screens!?
Since the show, Katia hasn’t actually starred in anything since then. She was a one hit wonder – but definitely a big hit! From starring in the show she has since gained her qualifications in architecture and discovered this was her passion in life.
She did get married to an Architect:
She is also married to Gerold Schneider who equally shares her love for architecture. Currently, she lives with her husband and her two children in the Vorarlberg Alps whilst still pursuing her career in architecture.

I’m sure we all remember the iconic 6 Million Dollar Man show. This is the character of, Jamie Sommers aka the bionic woman back then, who was played by Lindsay Wagner.

This is what she looks like now, at the age of 72 years old. She continued a very successful career after making her 15 million dollar fortune as the bionic woman. And in 2018, she starred in Grey’s Anatomy.
TJ Hooker (Sergeant T.J Hooker) THEN
Willian Shatner played veteran police officer Sgt. T.J. Hooker in ‘TJ Hooker’. He was a tough cop and the TV show would follow the adventures of him and his partner Vince as they patrolled the beat.

William Shatner is now 9- years old. His net worth has recently come to light, Shatner is worth an impressive 600 million. And, as of recently he is also the oldest person to go to space.

Magnum, P.I. is an American TV crime drama show that stars Tom Selleck as Thomas Magnum – who is a private investigator that lives in Oahu, Hawaii. He was nominated for five Emmy’s and won one for his role. This is him as he was back then on the show.

We also know Tom Selleck from Friends and Dr Richad Burke, and he featured on the 2021 Friends reunion recently. He’s still active in his acting career and last year he starred in Out Where The West Begins.

CHiPs (Jonathan Jon Baker) THEN
Larry Wilcox played the role of Jon Baker in CHiPs and it was the role he became best known for. His character was the California Highway Patrol officer. He starred in the show from 1977 to 1982. and he performed many of his own stunts on the show.

Now, Larry Wilcox at 73 years old hasn’t yet slowed down. Infact we last saw him on the screen in Wish Man in 2019. He continues to film for a variety of projects and has no talks of retirment for the forseeable future.

Rachel Wards played Meggie Cleary in The Thorn Birds and she was nominated for the best actress award for this. As well as propelling her into success and fame she also met her husband to be on the set.

Rachel Wards continued her very successful career. Aswell as acting, she turned her hand to directing. And, in 2001 she earned yet another Golden Globe award as best actress. As of recent years she has been less active in the limelight and her career seems to have taken a backseat.

Grace was played by Jessica Parker Kennedy in V. She was a visiting sleeper agent who pretended to be the girlfriend of John May’s son James May. She earned her status as the actress she is today through this role.

Jessica Parker Kennedy has done a few shows in recent years. In 2012 she starred in The Circle. And then, in 2017 she was a part of The Flash which she continued for four season. Now, in terms of acting she has started to appear in less. She resides with her husband who came out as bi-sexual.

Zebulon (played by Will Geer) was one of the main characters, he worked at the mill and was the patriarch and grandad of the family. He was well known for his good humour and spirit and his continous bickers with his son.

Sadly, in 2019 at the age of 76 years old, Will Geer died as a reuslt of respiratory difficulties following a respiratory related illness. He was an actor, musician, and social activist.

Caroline Lake Quiner Ingalls (played by Karen Grassle) was one of the most popular characters on the show. She was more commonly referred to by everbody as ‘ma’. She provided the motherly, comforting figure and people could not help but to love her.

Karen Grassle’s main role was Little House on the Prairie. And, throughout her life she’s had a string of turbulent romances as well as mental health struggles. She has released a book which talks about her alcohol dependency, her unwanted pregnancies and her struggles with sexism in the industry.

Adrian Edmondson played the wild punk rocker Vyvyan in The Young Ones. He, was one of the quirky foursome who were all navigating their individualism and being students in Thatcher’s Britain.

He’s been as active as ever in the later years of his career. very recently, he had an accident whilst washing a window in his house. His leg is still under medical care, and during the incident he had to be rescued from the roof.

Capt. Benjamin Franklin “Hawkeye” Pierce (played by Donald Sutherland) was the lead character in the series. Hawkeye, was the chief surgeon. His character was fictional, but he was actually based on a real person who inspired the character.
